Hello,
I just bought Litter Robot open air with Wifi and I was a pervious user of Litter Robot Open Air.
In the new unit, I am facing an issue in the Cat Sensor Sensitivity. Although my cat weight is more than 8 pounds, the cat sensor does not seem to deduct when she enters inside the globe.
The sensor itself seem to be working as I tried to apply gentle pressure on the top of globe front and the light turns red.
The unit is placed on a flat hard surface and there nothing touching or leaning on the unit.
Please advise on what to do next.
Regards,
Ahmed
Hi,
We have been in contact with the manufacturer concerning this issue and here is his answer:
''We are recommending that customers place furniture pads, coasters, etc. under the front of the unit. This can help shift weight backward. All units test okay on our bench, but, if there is a slope towards the front of the unit, it’s very common for the units to become even more insensitive. The customers can also back off the cat sensor nut 1/2 - 1 full turn to help increase sensitivity. Note that turning this too far may cause the nut to pop-off, and reassembly has a higher degree of difficulty.
Our customer service team is seeing a lot of wood floors with clear slope. 1/4inch (.635cm) can decrease the sensitivity by 2 - 3lbs. ‘’
Let us know how it goes.
With regards,
