I am looking for a 1/3 to 1/2.3” format cmos in a monochrome platform. I couldn’t tell if the imx477 for arducam is mono or color. I am looking to build an astrophotography guide camera that is better then the usb based ar0130 color I have now. Can anyone point me in the right direction? I want to be able to have control over some basic features like actual exposure time not just the “average stacked” exposures of time. Gain, exposure time, binning, etc. if it is able to communicate over usb and windows great, if not I. An piggy back it through a raspberry pi.

The IMX477 HQ Camera is a color module.
Perhaps you could be interested in this one instead:

Yes that is exactly what I was looking for. I will have to do some research to see how what drivers it used and if sharpcap or phd2 guide software can talk to it.
