I think this SRF02 Ultrasonic ranger would be a great addition to your product line, and it is not as expensive as is usually the case for other I2C/Serial based sensors.
I’d still love to see some other I2C based sensors added too, like this R117 compass module that works in full 360 degrees, SRF08 Ultrasonic ranger (with light sensor), etc. I’d suggest the TPA01 thermal array sensor too, but it might be a bit out of the range for the LM product line and probably wouldn’t find its way into a lot of robots. I think the other I2C senors would fit really well into your sensor line up though.
Now that I understand how I2C works, I think it’s an excellent means of communicating with devices. It sure saves on I/O pin usage too!
While I know I can get these sensors from many other sources, I would just rather help Jim and Beth keep their lights on instead. I hate to switch suppliers for these items when Lynxmotion is so good and dependable!
You want to talk about who’s great! The people who make up the Lynxmotion forum, that’s who! You guys are friendly, polite, and so incredibly helpful to anyone who asks any question. I try to read every post, and reply as often as possible, but it’s you guys who make this great! Thank you all!
Oh, I didn’t respond to the topic. I am definelty interested in making I2C capable sensors available. I don’t know how quickly I can get anything done, but I am interested.
A large range of sensors and other accessories would be great. I have always found that once a customer has confidence with a supplier the cost is never an issue, just the service.
The price is long forgotten once the quality has been felt.
Well, we are very fortunate here, in that we have the best of everything with Jim, Beth, and Lynxmotion. We get the best quality products for the best prices, and the service is not to be matched anywhere by anyone. I don’t think I could give a higher compliment, and I don’t do that very often.
