I need to run three brushless motors using one micro computer

“How do I do this?” is the obvious question. But also, what are the parts I need. I need to have three wheels spin upon the pressing of one button, controlling one motor. The speeds will have a maximum speed set to create the desired effect, which is the Benham’s disc illusion, along with Newton’s disc and another color mixing disc. I don’t know if I’m allowed to post links here, but videos and descriptions of this will clarify. This is an activity for an art museum that will need to be sturdy and reliable for durability over the course of the exhibit. If there is anyway to convert the power to A/C plug in using some sort of power supply, that would be best, so the museum staff will not have to constantly replace batteries. Ok. To whom it may concern, Thank you for your time and if there is any further information needed, I can supply it.

Hi There,

Welcome to the forum.

You will need 3 motors or one motor with a gear and pulley system to control 3 shafts.

I recommend you go with Brushed DC motor, they are the most easy to control: https://www.robotshop.com/en/dc-motors.html

Also, you will need a motor controller, to control the speed of the rotation: https://www.robotshop.com/en/brushed-motor-controllers.html

The rest is pretty much mechanical design and could be 3D printed if you have access to a 3D printer.

Let me know if this help to start your project.
