Just let me know, does this "work" visually with the Sharp sensors? --They are moveable and can look to the center and the outside, very practical but do they look right?

In the meanwhile, this arrangement looks better to me than what I imagine them to look like when mounted on top. As has been suggested, these could pass for ears. I wonder if you could hide all the mechanics (pivots, push rods) and give it a more biological look. (Maybe knitted ear muffs?)
Could you integrate them somehow? Make it look like one unit. Or give them proper flappy earlobes.
Hey, it just dawned on me. Those rods connect to the same servo don’t they? Mintvelt range finder style!

Yup, they are staying and yes, they are for object tracking and a lot of other stuff. (Thanks 4-eyes)… I am not able to hide all the mechanics, I am running out of room! I am up to a total of 8 servos for the head! And rik, a hat you want? I might just have something up my sleeve… Gimme a few days to finish fabrication --We are getting close to Walter 1.2…
