Hi @Mower1,

Based on Sabretooth dimensions and dimensions of your box, it will definitely fit there, plus there will be space for air to flow around it.

What Sabretooth datasheet recommends is:
The heat sink is not electrically connected to the electronics of the Sabertooth 2x32. If there is a metal
chassis available the best thermal performance will come from mounting the flat bottom of the heat
sink directly to the chassis as shown in the photograph above. If the driver is mounted to an insulating
material such as wood or plastic, it may be better to use standoffs to allow better cooling.
Because Sabertooth 3x32 is a high power component, capable of supplying up to two kilowatts of
continuous output power, it will get warm in use. If there is airflow available in the design, having the
Sabertooth 2x32 in that airflow will lead to lower board temperatures. At a very minimum, allow some
space for air movement between the edges of the heat sink and the enclosure.

Generally, higher temperatures lead to faster component aging. Therefore, if you can, install two fans with filters. One to insert cool air and one to output hot air.

I do have filter/fans I can install I will go that route with metal box for heat transfer thanks for the help!!!

No problem @Mower1

May we know what are you building?

Building a remote lawn mower to mow slopes and pond damns almost done with the main frame work.
