I’m looking for a gearbox and just a gearbox. I had planned on using drill motors from cordless drills for my project, but they don’t have enough torque, so I need to find a gearbox to attach to them. Anyone know where I can buy gearboxes?
We offer two stand-alone planetary gearbox series from Banebots, the P60 (10 different gearing options coming soon) and P80 (many different configurations, but specifically for the CIM motor). The P60 are also intended to be used with certain models of Mabuchi DC motors, but you may be able to improvise an adapter. If you can provide some additional specifications such as dimensions and torque, we can see if there might be another option.
One alternative is to make it yourself, from a piece of sheet metal and some gears. Then you can achieve the exact ratio you want for your application.
