Humanoid robot team

Dear members,

I am actually building a humanoid robot team.
What kind of people should I be looking for to hire?
A part of: - Electronics/Electrical engineer,
- Mechanical designer engineer,
- Computer science/Software engineer,
- Mechatronics/Robotics engineer,
- Web developer,
- App. developer,
- UX/UI designer.

We’ll assume when you mean “humanoid robot” that you mean something roughly human scale? If you yourself do not have significant experience designing and building robots, you might consider hiring someone (or multiple people) who have been part of such teams. Your biggest “bang for your buck” would be to look for universities which have participated in the DARPA “humanoid” challenge:

You could reach out and contact individuals on these teams, and gauge their abilities / knowledge. Passion for robotics (or even humanoids) is one thing, but ability and success within a short period is critical for a startup.
A second place to look would be existing companies which have researched humanoid robots and search on LinkedIn for people with direct experience. Your last option is to of course hire individuals who are generally good at the fields you describe, are passionate about humanoids, and have them learn what they need or the skills they are missing. Note that without someone who is well versed in kinematics / physics (to determine walking gaits, center of gravity etc.), the humanoid won’t get very far.
Full scale humanoids are very expensive, so leave enough cash to purchase the parts you will need.
