Huge Push Button 100mm (Yellow) question

Huge Push Button 100mm (Yellow): The description was not clear on the button if it was NO or NC, so I assumed it could be configured either way. Now that I have it, I can not see a way to change it. It currently is in a NO(normally open) state, I need a NC(normally closed) state. Does anyone know if this push button can be changed to the NC state?

Thanks,
Rick

Hi and welcome to our forums.

Unfortunately the switch that’s included in this push button only has contacts for a normally-open (NO) switch. What do you want to control with this? If it’s connected to an Arduino or other microcontroller, it would be easy to invert the logic either electrically or in software. Or if you want to directly control the power to a device, you could connect this switch to a relay module, which itself has NC and NO contacts.

Hope this helps and please let us know what you want to do!

Thanks for the reply.
I actually physically modified the switch to be a NC (normally-closed) switch by cutting the slot in the appropriate place and moved the contact from the NO position to the NC position.
In my opinion, the button should include a switch with both contacts present, or at least it should be clearly documented in the advert that the horizontal microswitch included is only NO(normally-open).

Thanks again for the reply and hopefully this may help future users.

Thanks for your feedback and tips, and we’ve updated our product pages to clarify how the switches work.
