Hello,
For a project in machine learning, a balance-bot, I am looking for a servo which can be controlled by a PWM-signal. I would like to control it from the audio-jack of a netbook. This is a absolute must, so no motors.
It should come with position control, but it would also need to make continuous rotations.
So I came across the HSR-1425CR, ( lynxmotion.com/p-429-hsr-142 … servo.aspx )
But I wonder whether this is
a) a position-control-servo or is it a speed-control-servo? Some messages in the forum are dubious, but this might be because some people tend to use it as a motor.
b) can it do multiple rotations after each other, or can it only do 360° and then block?
c) does it always take the shortest route to the desired point?
While I have some experience with servos, these might still be stupid questions. I just found the info on the internet dubious, and the spreadsheet quite short
