HS-85BB/MG micro servo brackets are in stock!

Beth has just added the HS-85BB/MG brackets to the SES page.

lynxmotion.com/Category.aspx?CategoryID=73

We have the brushed ones in stock and the black anodized ones will be in stock in about a week. These new micro servo brackets really add to the dynamic range of the SES assembly possibilities. We now have large scale (755) normal scale (475, 645, etc) and micro scale (85). We hope to add mega scale (805) soon.

should that be CategoryID=134, or were you deliberately going to the top SES page rather than the SES micro bracket page directly?

I was pointing to the SES page, dunno why. But here is the direct link, sorry…

Beth just added the black anodized versions of the micro servo brackets to the website.

RobotDude, I really hope you make something cool with those brackets.

Hi wowy7

Where is wowy6

I like your avatar. Cool 8)

I have been waiting a long time for these… I have a lot of ideas for them.

How do you know about wowy6? lol I created that profile back in 2006 when I was going to join, but I guess I forgot I had a profile and made wowy7. You can delete that one if you want…

Thanks.

I hope you make a Mini Hexapod. 8)

Edit: OMG theres a wowy5 too!

wutha, I didn’t know about wowy6. I was just kidding around. lol

So where’s wowy5?

I dunno. He went somewhere.

I love the idea of a mini Hex! 8)

maybe with the micro brackets and servos one could create small grippers/fingers/hands for bipeds?

or even mandibles for a multi-leg bot!

a tail anyone?

they make nice small pan and tilt arrangements.

Has anyone seen this video of a Mini Hexapod?

Nice video of that mini hex.

I was wondering Jim, are there any plans to add aluminum tubing to go with the micro SES brackets? I think it would be cool to make micro appendages for my brat bot.

Something like this???

Needed:
Aluminum Tubing Connector Hub:

Aluminum Hex Standoffs (F/F) (4-40 Tapped):

Steel Socket Head Screws - 5/8":

Steel Socket Head Screws - 1/4" X2:

Yeah, that’s one way to do it. I did not think of that. Since you posted that picture though, I realized you can use the existing tubing assortment since the micro brackets use the standard SES bolt pattern. I assume this to be the case anyway.

Although the ASB-06, HUB-08, and tubing will fit the micro servo brackets, they are on the huge side. I will be designing and adding more small parts to the series.

Yeah, I posted a link to that Innovati mini hexapod a while back and spoke to freddielee, the poster of that video to see if he was distributing it anywhere.

Needless to say, I’ve been bugging Jim from time to time about releasing a micro bracket system since I would definitely be very interested in the ones from Lynxmotion, since Lynxmotion always have high quality stuff and have never released any inferior stuff out there…

Now that Jim and his company has, it’s time to scrounge up and save up for a bunch of micro brackets.

Jim, is anyone working on a .step format 3D model of the micro SES and micro servos? I’m not very good at solid works but looking at the amassed library, there should be quite a few of us roboteers that are quite good at this.

Would be nice to be able to get some 3D models of the micro SES so I can do some virtual prototyping…

I’m willing to share the files used to make the brackets with anyone who can make the models.
