HS-785HB rotation

Hi all,
I was wondering if anyone had any experience with this servo, and sending it a wider range of servo signals.
I would like to know how many rotations I can get out of it. I am using SSC-32 to send the pulse widths, so with 0.5-2.5ms pulses as opposed to the rc normal of about 1-2ms, can I get more than 3.5 turns? I was just wondering if the servo will run into a physical boundary, or can I get an extra rotation or two out of it.
Any help or experience with its limits would be great.

Thanks

There are not physical restraints on it’s rotation. It’s basically a continuous rotation servo with a multiturn pot. You may extend some range using the ends of the PWM but only by 10 to 40 degrees. You can further extend it’s range by experimenting with different K values of resistor on the outside post of the pot. Start with 1.2k-2K and go up from there.

Thanks evolution, I wasn’t sure if it was a multiturn pot, or a normal pot geared down to only turn within its normal range.
In either case, I was wondering if anyone had ever reached the extremes of the pot and seen how many rotations were possible.
I also thought I might be able to get more from just extending the PWM signal, as we can almost double the range of most analogue servos like this. And with a 3.5 turn servo, I thought doubling the PWM range, I might reach the limits of any pot inside. The only reason I don’t want to put the resistors in, is because I want to keep the resolution.
