How was the con' Beth?

Heya,

According to the “CrustCrawler?” thread, Jim said Beth was out of town for the weekend at an Anime Con. Just wanted to ask how it was!

Which con did you go to Beth? Did you cosplay? =D We(/I) want pictures _ Saw any great cosplays? I hope to attend an anime convention one day :frowning: Maybe fanime if I move to CA. ^^;;

Yes, I spent the weekend in Coralville, Iowa, at the AnimeIowa convention. It was small, I’m told, but it was fun nonetheless.

I made and wore a generic “miko” (shrine priestess) outfit for the first two days, and for the third day my friend and I made “soda-box gundam” outfits. I went as a version of Wing - and I even had tiny wings on the costume.

There were some simply amazing costumes there. Tons of Naruto ninjas, a mob of Bleach shinigami, several Final Fantasy (VII and VIII) characters, even a slightly confused Ghostbuster and a gothic Ronald McDonald (don’t ask - it was scary). I took as many pictures as I could, but sadly most of them didn’t turn out well at all. Unfortunately, we missed the actual cosplay show. By the time we managed to corner a trio of Silent Hill cosplayers (Pyramid Head, a Nurse, and a Lying Figure, I believe) the auditorium had already filled up.

I’m still trying to sort through all of my pictures. When I get that done, I’ll be uploading them to my gallery.

Cool! Sounds like you had a nice weekend. I spent mine making a 555 LED blinker =P

Yup. There are always a ton of naruto ninjas and mobs of bleach characters.

Can’t wait for the gallery to be updated :slight_smile: Nice photoshop pen work by the way. Looks very cute ^^.

Thanks! I need to upload some of my other artwork, but I’ve been busy.

My miko outfit was just the basic pleated red pants (that look like a dress) and white kimono-top shirt. And the Ronald McDonald? I didn’t ask either.

I have some pictures uploaded into the gallery- not all of them, but the best of the ones I took on this camera. (Unfortunately a lot of them are still blurry, and most of them I couldn’t upload because they’re so blurry.) I still have pictures from a second camera to go through. Hopefully they’ll turn out better!
