I want to build a very simple system that pulls up and lowers down a TV. I intend to use a DC-3420 motor but I don’t know how to wound the wire on a wheel. Is there such a device? I would imagine the device goes on the motor shaft or it is spoon by timing pulley
@ndaian Welcome to the RobotShop Community. Note that there are commercial products on the market which can either lower a TV from a ceiling or raise it from either the ground or from inside furniture? They normally use a DC linear actuator, small control box and wireless remote control. It would have to have proper mounting and the mechanics need to support the weight of the TV. We don’t suggest a pulley system or gears.
