please check the link…i am using 4 motor for my robot…2 for driving robot and 2 for robotic arm…and i want to make my robot wireless only (range of 100m to 1km)… i do not want to use arduino…so suggest me setup …
on robotshop website there is playstation type wireless remote control available but the range of that is only 10m
Hi ashish,
In order to have your robot wireless, you might want to use a Motor Controller and link it to a RC remote controller.
This will give you the line of sight range your need and the easy setup without Arduino or other microcontroller.
The Sabertooth Dual RC is made to be use on RC remote:
With a 2.4ghz remote:
As for the other two motor, your looking to use DC motor for the arm ?
We would suggest a set of Servo motors that can be controlled by a RC remote too.
Which one to use need to be determine by your setup of arm.
Give us more details about your project and we will be able to guide you.
Can I control wild thumper 6wd robot without trex motor controller??? Can I control it with only radio??? I only want to control in direction forward,backward.left.right nothing else
You cannot connect DC motors to a remote controller directly.
The motor controller can take R/C remote signals and make variation in voltage to the motors which will also allow you to make turns with the internal mixing.
Can i use ESC as a motor controller for wild thumper ??? Instead of arduino…so that I can control it with RC…AND DO MIXING???
The easier way to control a WildThumper in R/C mode is to get a Motor Controller that can take R/C signal directly.
A Sabertooth Dual 12A 6V-24V R/C Regenerative Motor Driver will do just that.
This controller can be set to differential mode and take R/C inputs.
