How to winch a wheelchair into the backseat of a car?

I’m trying to help a disabled senior who can’t lift her own wheelchair into the back seat of her car. I came up with the idea of using a trash can with the side cut off as a bin for the chair as it is pulled in. This should tip it in with anything catching. Another trash can on the floor will keep it from tipping or sliding off the seat. I don’t need something as big as a boat winch, but would like a small winch that could automatically shutoff at a designated point. Current thinking is to hang it from the ceiling hand hold from the opposite door, or put the pulley there. I’ve heard of servo motors but don’t really know what they are. I am very nontechnical and know little about forums and nothing about robots. Any suggestions or ideas would be appreciated. The whole idea of accessibility is sadly neglected in our world, nowhere more than with phones and internet use for seniors. HELP!

Hi @SeniorAid and welcome to our forum!

I am not sure if you need servo motor for this application. Servo motor is used when you need to know exactly the position of the shaft of the motor.

To me, seems like you need to use simple towing winch, something like this maybe:
