How to use the CMOS SFE camera?

Hi.
I’m new here and new at learning electronics. And not realy good at English. So, sorry for the mistakes I can do.

I need a little cam for a project and would like to buy the CMOS SFE Camera - 1300x1040 pixels.
I’d like to know if I need something like a shield to connect this cam to my project built around an Arduino Mega 2560.
For my project I can use a ready to use cam system like the Couleur JPEG Sériél - TTL camera, but it’s too expensive because I’m not sure to manage this projecte to its end and I do want to understand what I’m doing to decide If I can go to the finish line or fade away with shame :astonished:
Actually, I’d like to know if I need something more or just a bord like this ProtoBoard 1 po. SFE.
I read the manual and think I can manage with the connectors.
But before buying it, I want to be shure and not find myself withe unusable items.

Thanks for your replies.
I hope I’ve been clear enough.

Thanks a lot Casmat.
So I think that you recommend I use the TTL Camera.
I need 2 cams but I’ll try with one and see. If you think it will be better and easier to use.

The camera you choose requires you to build your own breakout board, you cannot simply solder it to a trough-hole prototyping board. That camera module is inexpensive indeed, but is only intended to very advanced users who are ready to create custom circuitry for it.
