How to make a PCB (Project Phoenix)

NOTE: IF YOU WANT TO COMMENT, DON'T COMMENT HERE, COMMENT ON THE PROJECT PHOENIX ROBOT POST, I'M VERY LAZY BUSY TO CHECK THE COMMENTS HERE

Another update once again, and this time, my project's BRAINS ON BOARD PCB

there are two kinds of PCB making process, the UV lamp method and the tonner printing method, in this case, i'm using the tonner printing method, i think it's easier.

what you need:

-copper clad laminate (PCB board

-magazine paper

-laser printer

-clothes iron

-ferric chloride solution

-kitchen scrubs

-acetone

process:

first you should clean the PCB board using the kitchen scrubs, it should be very shiny and it shouldn't have any fingerprints on it:

Print the PCB layout using a magazine paper on a laser printer, it should be laser printer cause it uses tonner:

and place the board facedown aligning it to the pcb layout and then tape the magazine paper to the board:

place it face up and iron the board using the clothes iron with the highest heat, press the iron in the board for 3 minutes, then move the iron, keep moving the iron while distributing pressure for 2 minutes then let it cool down:

when it is cool enough touch, immerge it in water and let it stay there for 2 minutes, when the magazine paper is soft, rub it off the board:

after that, immerge it in a vat of ferric chloride solution, let it soak there untill all the copper are erased:

when it is done, wash it with water:

when it is clean, erase the tonner tracks using an acetone, i used a nail polish remover because it is also an acetone:

rinse it with water and it is ready to be cut, tip: you should use sandpaper to clean the sides when you finished cutting it.

that's for now, see you again on another update,

cheers!

Helpful

I am planning to do some homemade PCB’s and this is very helpful for that.
