How to make a fully autonomous car .powered by gps

hey , its been too long since i last visited this site. 

 

since i am being stck in my college project so i thought this would be the best place to ask,

so guyz i m working on a fully autonomous robo car vehicle like this one :

please tell me the components (with cost) and technology involved.

Building a gps guided car without even the slightest idea is hard.

make a start here robot for $50 $85.

@eclipse : i know how to make start here robot, i have also made some line followers , object chasers and LED sequnce. (using ATmega16, AT89S52, and sensors like qrd1114)  . the problem with that car is that i don’t know much about gps and connecting it with your microcontrollers, also image processing.  if anyone can give some useful info or links i will be very thankful.

Servo magazine ran at least one article on reading and parsing data from gps receivers. I am sure there are other resources that will offer similar information.
