Computer scientists invented a model that efficiently optimizes control and design of soft robots for target simulated tasks with minimal human intervention, traditionally a monumental undertaking in computation. The advance was developed out of the MIT Computer Science and Artificial Intelligence Laboratory (CSAIL).
