How to connect XBEE Series1 to theWireless Gamepad

I just purchased a new gamepad for Arduino V2 and find it unusual that I can’t seem to find any instructions on how to set it up with an XBEE series 1.
I am guessing I need to take it apart and install the xbee inside the gamepad.

Where are the instructions on how to do that?

I think I found one post that talked about changing the commands to use serial1 instead of serial.’

Is there not a complete set of instructions on how to set up this gamepad with XBEE?

Hi,

You can find the pinout and a sample code for the Wireless Gamepad for Arduino V2 in the product’s Wiki.
You are correct, the gamepad should be disassembled ( by removing its screws ) to install an XBee module.
Also as indicated in the Wiki :

The sample code is used to test the gamepad on your computer by a USB cable, but not to communicate wirelessly by Xbee, Bluetooth module, etc. If you want to use the code for the later purpose or write your own code, please change all serial.xxx() to serial1.xxx() since the board (leonardo) use its serial1 instead of serial to communicate with the wireless modules.
