How to connect joystick to Sabertooth 2x32

Hi guys,
I bought simple 2 axis thumb joystick with 5 pins,
and I want to connect it to my Sabertooth 2x32.
If you can help me in a simple way, because I’m totally
not it the electronics field, it will be great!
Which pin on the joystick goes (with his wire of course) into which connection
on the sabertooth…

For example:
S-k pin on the joystick goes into S1 connection on the Sabertooth…
and so on.
Thank you very much!
Arik

Hi,

The wiring would be as follows :

]GND from Joysitck to 0V on the Sabertooth./:m]
]VCC from Joystick to 5V on the Sabertooth./:m]
]S-X from Joystick to S1 on the Sabertooth./:m]
]S-Y from Joystick to S2 on the Sabertooth./:m]
]S-K is the Joysitck’s button output signal and won’t be needed to control the Sabertooth./:m]

Hi, i have only this picture. Im a beginner.
I see only wirecolours.
6 kinds of. Red,black, blue,brown, white,yellow.
Thank you!

Hi,

We are not able to see your picture. Could you attach it to your post ?

Hi, I sent to you via email. Thanks.

Hi,

You might want to check the cable output based on its color in your joystick’s datasheet. Red and black wires are normally for power input (5V and Gnd). The rest of 4 cables could be for 3 axis potentiometers + a button/switch.
