I have had my Rover V2 plugged into my computer for about 6 hours and the lipo is not taking a charge. I have the jumper plugged in…why won’t it charge?
Can you provide an image of how you are charging the battery?
You need to connect the LiPo battery to the white JST connector and plug the USB cable to an active USB port.
The LiPo jumper at the left rear of the board needs to be in place.
You cannot charge a LiPo battery via the barrel connector.
Hope this helps.
This does help…I now know that I am trying to charge correctly. But the original battery that came with the bot did not charge with that set up, and while I am grateful that Robotshop sent me a second lipo, it too does not charge according to this set up! Maybe something is wrong with the board???
I will try to put regular batteries in and see if they work. But I bought this kit mostly to have the lipos. I don’t know why they won’t charge…
I am about to give up on this robot and try to get my money back. The lipo does not charge. I set it up for AA batteries and it still does not work. What am I doing wrong?
I just pulled out my volt meter and my AA batteries are all strong, as are the two lipos.
What am I doing wrong?
I used a wall wart at 6 volts and that seems to work. But I can’t use a wall wart and make it autonomous…
Can you please provide an image or two of your setup so we can clearly show the configuration?
