How to charge a DFRobot 7.4V Lipo 2200mAh Battery

Hi, I have a DFRobot 7.4V Lipo 2200mAh Battery, but I didn’t find a charger for that on Robotshop. I have a generic battery charger myself which can charge Lipo or Life as 1 to 3A, but it has what’s called balance socket that has to be connected in order to charge the battery. All the battery has is one 2.1mm barrel jack lead.

How to solve this? Is there anyway to get around the balance socket?

Thank you.

The best part about that battery is that you don’t need a charger - you only need a 9V wall adapter (weird, I know) which can provide ~1A. It has an automatic cutoff so it stops charging automatically. This is certainly not like our normal batteries and had to contact the manufacturer to confirm this. As they indicate on their site:

**NOTE: The latest version has a built-in protection board which allows the battery to be charged by 9V DC power supply. You don’t need professional battery charger any more. **

Do you know of any you can recommend I can’t find one with the jack. Thanks

Not the easiest , we know. If you can find a male to male connector, you’re fine. If not, make your own using two of these:

Otherwise cut the wires on the power supply and use just one.
