Hi,

Could you please let me know how to change output rate of HX711 from 10SPS to 80SPS?

Refer to the user guide on page 4 under “Clock Source Options” to select between the two and Output Data Rate and Format". It’s a digital interface determined upon power-up.

Hi Benson,

Yes. That’s the exact module I’m talking about. Could you please explain a bit as I’m not an electronics person I don’t understand these things much.

Can I change rate through Arduino program or modifying library?
Is it possible to change the rate using PD_SCK and DOUT?
Or do I need to do any hardware modification to the sensor module circuit board?

On page 4 of the guide, it is indicated that in order to change the output data rate and format (samples per second, SPS), you need to connect pin X1 to GND before the chip is powered. We will check with the manufacturer of the breakout board to see if they have any quick way to go about this and will get back to you as soon as we receive a reply.

The manufacturer replied: “please check the attachment that you can change the level of RATE pin to decide which rate, 0: 10Hz 1: 80Hz, so you can remove the resistor R1 or R2 in the schematic.”
