Hi everyone,
If you ever wondered how to set or change your RobotShop Community profile image, I hope this thread will help.
STEPS TO ASSOCIATE A PROFILE IMAGE TO YOUR ROBOTSHOP COMMUNITY ACCOUNT
From the RobotShop Community Website
- Make sure you are logged in with your Community Profile.
- Go to your profile in the Edit Profile tab.
- Click on the ‘‘Gravatar’’ button or on the link identified ‘‘Go to https://en.gravatar.com/’’ or simply go to the Gravatar website in a new tab.
From Gravatar.com
*If you already have a Gravatar/Wordpress account attached to the email address you use for your community account, you will only need to click on ‘‘Sign In’’ at the top right of the Wordpress page and enter your logins.
- If you do not have a Gravatar account already, click on ‘‘Create your own Gravatar’’ on the right.
- Enter all the required informations. When completed, then click on ‘‘Create your account’’
- Email address (same associated to your Community account)
- Username (it can be the same you use for your community account or ANY random username; no need to remember you can Sign In with your email address anyway).
- Password (up to you)
- Then go to your email inbox (the one of the email you associated the account with).
- Open the confirmation email from Wordpress.com called ‘‘Activate [Username]’’
- Click on the button ‘‘Active Account’’
- This will lead you to your Wordpress profile. You then simply need to click on the top right account to edit.
- Click on ‘‘Click to change photo’’
- Choose an image (make sure the resolution is not too high), and upload.
When logged in Gravatar, you should be able to preview your Gravatar image here: https://en.gravatar.com/emails/
When you are done, you can log out from Wordpress.
If you need help using Gravatar, you can always have a look at this support page, https://en.gravatar.com/support/
Then from the RobotShop Community again
- Go back to your Community account and Sign Out.
- After about 2 to 5 minutes, Sign In again in your community profile. You should then be able to see the updated image!
