How much can you put on a Brat

I’m looking into getting the Brat Kit + the upgraded servos since I eventually want to put together a full Humanoid. I would like to get the WiPort to control remotely from the computer, but also think I would like to add the Bot Board with the Atom (or ooPic) for autonomous operation. How much can you stick on the Brat - any examples of the Bot Board / SSC-32 mounted together on the Brat. I saw the Wiport - by the way wibots website doesn’t look to be up anymore. I would imagine it would be pretty stacked with SSC-32, Bot Board then Wiport on top of that.

Would it make more sense to configure the Bot Board with ZigBee and get a ZigBee USB interface for the PC. There are some pretty small ZigBee modules.

BTW - anyone have a Lynxmotion based Humanoid in RoboGames or Robo-One competition yet, anyone planning - what about Biped Nick - curious how he would do

There are quite a few options for wireless links to a robot scattered about this forum. Which to choose really is a combination of determining what level of functionality you need/want and tempering that with cost. I think, and this is just my observation, some bluetooth solutions have come up as the least expensive with probably the shortest range, then you get the zigbee stuff which has other possible advantages (research it), then the lantronix matchport (a board design is available here lynxmotion.net/phpbb/viewtopic.php?t=2103 ) which has a standard WLAN type range of 300m or more, then the lantronix WiPort is also WLAN but much faster and has 2 channels, then you get into 900MHz radio systems with ranges in the miles and costs in the several hundreds of usd.
