I measured under my SSC32, and it looks like that thing could fit in the bottom of the chassis!
Its 900 grams, is that too heavy? would that be the only thing it could carry? I did use the HS-645MG servos knowing I was going to put some more electronics on this guy…
I ordered a cmucam3 to add to it, and a couple servos for a neck/head setup, so I need more juice since my current 2600 mAh battery dies after like 7 minutes of walking around.
16000 mAh! LiPo It sound impressive. But looking at the specs it isn’t that impressive. Especially the max charge rate of 2 amps, meaning that it takes over 8 hours for charging it… I believe the CH3-R can take the load, but I would consider using two 2S LiPo 5000 (or 6000) mAh instead combined with two switch regulators.
Yeah I’m not sure what’s going on at Seattle Robotics either. I have tried everything to get them to ship me one, but they don’t return phone calls or my emails.
That battery weighs 31 ounces. I’ve run the CH3-R with 18 ounces of NiMH with no issues.
I ordered it from Seatle Robotics… I emailed them just a couple days ago asking when they would have them in stock, they said friday (today). I emailed them back yesterday asking if I should just wait till friday to order, and they said they just got them in stock, so I ordered it yesterday and got a confirmation shipping email last night
yeah it seems a little crazy lol how long would it run? if it could run all day and charge all night that would be awesome
“instead combined with two switch regulators”
Do you have a link to an example for a switch regulator?
I was thinking about using two batteries also, my charger (triton) can only do 3 cels, so I would have to charge one, then the other, correct?
