So one of my legs on the hex is having problems returning back to certain positions. It seems to perform certain range of motions fine, but after a while one servo begins to have a problem, as if it never fully moves to its intended position. All other legs are fine.
From my observations this seems like the servo is going bad, perhaps gearing problems. Does this sound familiar to anyone? What are other signs of a bad servo?
I have only had a couple go bad and there are all levels of bad. if you have bad servo with a tooth or two broken for example, than my guess is that it may have problems getting to certain places. Depending on which servo you have you may be able to get a new set of gears and be as good as new.
Of course there are all levels of going bad. My last one that went bad:
In this case the gears completely siezed up. I could not move them even after I removed them from the top of the motor, which as you can probably tell fried!..
