How do you connect the Neoprene Foam Tires to motor shaft?

Can someone please help me understand how to connect the Neoprene Foam Tires to a motor shaft? Judging by the image on the product page, the hub looks like plastic with a tiny hole. Do I have to drill out the hole? Is the hole keyed to prevent the wheel from slipping on the motor shaft? Thanks! --Osman

Lynxmotion sells a hex adapter with a locknig screw. There is a hex pattern that fits the tires hub on one side and a hole for the motor shaft with a locking screw on the other side. Note that these are 1:10 scale tires. Larger scale RC tires(eg 1:8) use a larger hex pattern. Smaller tires may also have a different hex pattern.

Yeah what Nathan is describing is our RC tire hub. We also have a set of hubs for the Dave Brown Products NFTs. There is a center hole tapped for 5-40. The 5-40 screw with a washer goes through the tire and into the hub. It’s a friction fit, but I have never seen them loosen. Then the other end is for either a 3, 4 or 6mm shaft. Held in place with an 8-32 set screw.

Thanks for the tips. I ordered the hubs and I’ve got some hex adapters from another project, so between the two, I should be set! Thanks again. --Osman
