How do I use dc motor with built in controller and EZ-robot

I currently have a brushed 12 volt DC, 26 RPM motor that I control with EZ-robot and a L298N H-bridge ESC.
I want to switch to a brush-less motor, possibly this one (36D Brushless DC motor with planetary gearbox - 12V 32RPM - RobotShop), but still want to control it with the EZ-robot. Do I remove the H-bridge, and if so, how to I hook-up this new motor and control it?
The way I understand my current setup, I use a pre-existing Synthaim skill for sending commands/data to the h-bridge, and the h-bridge takes that and sends a PWM signal to the dc motor that has no built-in controller.
So with the new motor and its built-in controller, exactly what to I connect the each the the 5 wires from the motor to?

Welcome to RobotShop community.

We recommend checking the 2nd page of the datasheet to know more about the motor:

Sincerely,

I ended up using a bldc motor with integrated PWM control from Amazon. I believe RobotShop used to have something very similar (if not the same). The specs from Amazon for this motor are:
Specification: Item Type: Motor
Model: CM36-3650
Rated Voltage: DC 12V
No-Load Current: Maximum 0.23A
Load Current: Maximum 1.3A
Stall Current: 4A
Rated Voltage: 10W
RPM: 32

The motor does what I need, and works fine, but it is extremely loud, especially running any faster than about 5 RPM.

My question is, can you recommend a similar motor, no larger than 36mm in diameter, with PWM, 12 volts, that would be a quiet running motor, especially when running in 25-30 RPM range?

That was not much help. You sent a link to the motor I already have, but did not suggest a motor that is quieter, just gave me the same 128 motors that I already did a search and got.

I’m reluctant to order a $42 motor + $20 shipping just to find out it is not any quieter that what I have.

What is your return policy? If I don’t like the motor, but there is nothing wrong with it, can I still return it for a full refund?

Hello @jsale_alumni_utexas_net ,

Thank you for your reply.

Noise is typically from the gears in the reduction. The design and more important the gear precision is what makes a quiet gear train. Therefore a very high quality gear motor will be quiet.

If torque isn’t an issue here, you can try to go for a motor with a higher RPM as it should be quieter at low speeds.

You are able to return the motor within 30 days of the purchase for a full refund, however, if the motor isn’t defective, the return shipping would be paid by you.

Feel free to contact us again if you have further questions.

Sincerely,
