How do I remote control 3 motors working on 24Volts

hello,

I’m working on my thesis, which is building a platform that can lift things around 200kg’s and drives on rubber tracks. To power this machine I use 2 12volt batteries which gives me 24 volts as powersuply.
The motors I use for the rubber tracks are right angled drives with a gearbox on it with the following wiring (two wires for power supply for the motor and two wires to open the brake.)
To lift the platform I use a lineair actuator that you can see on the link at the end.

Now my question is: I would love to control these motors with a wireless remote controller. What’s the best (and cheapest) way to do this ?

Hello @Gillian and welcome to the forum!

Nice! Although you seem to already have the motors I recommend using this tool to get an estimate of the torque the motors will need to carry the weight you indicate.

To power this machine I use 2 12volt batteries which gives me 24 volts as powersuply.

Keep in mind that to get 24V you’d have to wire them in series, if you wire them in parallel you would still get 12V but a higher capacity.

Now my question is: I would love to control these motors with a wireless remote controller. What’s the best (and cheapest) way to do this ?

You haven’t mentioned having selected a motor controller yet so I’m going to guess you haven’t, in order to choose one, you need to check your motors nominal voltage and continuous current. Check this guide for more details:

As you mentioned you want to control them with a remote controller I suggest checking the R/C DC Controllers section of the store, a very popular option is:

Then to control the motors wirelessly you need a Transmitter and Receiver. Then you simply need to connect the receiver to the motor controller and use the transmitter to control the motors. However, if you also want to control the linear actuator wirelessly you will need an RC DC motor controller with more channels, or get two RC motor controllers.
