How do I add a variable speed control to a 240v power drill?

I am using a 240v power drill for a project and would like to know how I can add a variable speed control to control the speed of the motor?

Hello @Jimnibob and welcome to the forum :grinning:

I think we will need more information about the motor that the power drill uses, but I’m pretty sure what you need is a Motor Controller you can find lots of options in the provided link and choose one according to the characteristics of your motor.

Also, I believe this video will help you out too. The hardware used in the tutorial is the L298N Motor Driver Shield and the Arduino Uno microcontroller .
