Hello Cbenson, thank you for answering.
I have seen in this store a Flexible Stretch Sensor. Maybe I can use these sensors to the motion of the fingers?, what do you think?
greetings…
Hi sixto,
Welcome to the RobotShop Forum. What type of motions would you like to capture / track? Consider the Acceleglove which uses accelerometers and well designed software to capture the motion of each finger and of the hand. Alternatively, a product like the Dataglove uses flexible bend sensors to get an idea of each finger’s bend, but not of the hand itself. A hacked Kinect can also give you an idea of the motion and location of human hands.
Hope this gives you some ideas,
Hi,
Stretch sensors are still fairly new technology and there is a strong chance the results will not be as accurate as you might hope. This having been said, as the technology matures, they would be a great sensor technology to sense finger flexing etc.
Sincerely,
