How are the Parallax Propeller Microcontroller

I have been looking at the Parallax Propeller Microcontrollers recently and more specifically the Parallax Propeller 40-Pin DIP Chip - P8X32A-D40 and I was just wondering what you all think about it before I make a decision on buying it yet.

I am very happy to hear that. I was just a little suspicious with its low cost and how powerful it is suppose to be and all that. You know what they say, if it sounds to good to be true it usually isn’t.

The 8 core Propellers are really powerful, they excel at animatronics (where lots of servos are used) but many other applications can benefit from the 8 core technology.

We are very impressed with this product line.

One point raised by Parallax is that the Propeller programming and structure takes a bit of getting used to in order to use the chip to its full capability.
