Anyone else have one of these… I just received mine today…
Although we may not be a customer, we do have some experience with the product, and would be happy to help in any way we can.
Hi.
I too am building an Hovis eco + robot. What I would like to know is if there is a forum, blog, whatever, where to find news from Dongbu.
Just to say I received the robot with a set of wheels: what they are needed for? I was not able to find any information on Dongbu
site, nor in any other place, but for a sentence saying it can be upgraded to a Hovis Genie, but no information on how and where!
Thanks in advance for any information you can give me!
Regards
Mauro Pucillo
The wheels are just extra parts… if you still have yours lets talk… I think you and I are the only owners in the world… lol
Hi tbates.
I have already asked Dongbu about all the extra parts included in the Hovis eco plus kit.
I got no specific answer, just something about the communication pack I asked about in the same message.
Let’s remain in contact, Dongbu seems to be a bit stingy about their Hovis robot.
Even the programs for it are covered by an opaque cover: no information by anybody, it seems like
Hovis eco plus does not exist!
Hope to hear from you soon. Just to exchange information (if any) about our strange toy!!
Just received my Hovis Eco Plus yesterday. I live in the USA and the charger came supplied as a European version with the two long round posts. I think all I need is a Europe to USA adaptor to make the charger work but don’t want to apply any power to the charger until I get confirmation that it will work. Seems strange to me that the manufacture didn’t supply adaptors for all the different markets. I have an Ez Robot JD and their charger has interchangeable plugs for all the different markets. Can anyone confirm that all I need is the adaptor to make the charger work? Thanks in advance.
Hi Drummer.
If the charger says ‘INPUT 110-240 Volts 50-60 Hz’ it is a general use one and the adapter will be sufficient,
if it says ‘INPUT 110 Volts 60 Hz’ it is for USA market and again the adapter will do its work. In any other
situation you will need to change it with a USA market one.
Hope this will help.
Cheers
Mauro Pucillo
Thanks Mauro. It’s 110-240 volts 50 to 60 HZ.
