Home position error after harness replacement

I was getting a Dump position fault error on my Litter Robot, after doing some research and testing it appeared to be the “Hall Effect Sensor”. I ordered the Litter-Robot 3 Open Air Wiring Harness, disassembled the base and installed the new harness. Now I’m getting a Home position fault error even though it seems to be in the correct spot. Anyone got any recommendations??

Sorry for the delay, I took everything apart again today and everything worked after reassemble. Not sure what the cause was but hey it’s working. Thanks!

Hello @WindowsXPSux,

Thank you for your reply.

That’s good to hear.

Feel free to contact us again if you need further assistance.

Sincerely,

Well everything was good till the evening, now it won’t complete a cycle. I keep getting a cycle interrupted (it thinks a cat is getting inside during the cycle) I"ve tried doing the hard reset and CATS adjustments but it still happens. time to replace cat sensor?

Hello @WindowsXPSux,

Thank you for your reply.

Is the yellow light blinking once per second?

We will also need to see the 3 pairs of contact pins shown in the following videos:
Anti-Pinch Pins:

Bonnet’s Pin:

Base’s Pin:

No need to take them out of the robot, we only need to see them from the outside.

Awaiting your reply.

Sincerely,

I clean and took photos of each of those pins and it still says

If I let it sit with the yellow light blinking it will eventually start blinking red

Hello @WindowsXPSux,

Thank you for your reply.

The base and bonnet pins are a little damaged so we can replace them.

Do you find a cat sitting inside the robot when the lights start to blink?

Please provide us with your order number or a copy of the invoice to check the warranty status on your robot.

Awaiting your reply.

Sincerely,

Sorry for the very late reply, I’m just getting back to working on this. I cleaned the contacts for the base and bonnet pins and no there is no cat inside when the error happens. this error did start happening until it sat for a little bit waiting for the new gear and sensor to come in. im going to order a new cat sensor today and see if that fixes the problem.

My order info is as follows:
Order # 100470739
Order Date: 8/13/2020 2:28 AM

I’m pretty sure my warranty has expired

Hello @WindowsXPSux,

Thank you for your reply.

According to the order number, it seems that you have ordered the robot from the manufacturer directly.

In this case, we can’t check if the robot is still under warranty or not.

As for the replacement parts to be ordered, you would also need to replace the base and bonnet contact pins.

These pins are not listed on the website yet so you will need to place your order through our customer service department.

Please confirm if you wish to order these parts.

Sincerely,
