I am a teacher and I need a motor that can essentially be used in reverse through a “wind machine” the students will create in order to capture wind energy to light an LED. I purchased hobby motors from Amazon, and it turns out the motors need high RPMs to light the LED, and the wind from our fan won’t ever get the LEDs lit. Can you recommend a low RPM hobby motor that would work for this purpose?
Hey @teacherchaney
You could try using a geared down motor, however, it will require more energy to make it turn. I can make some recommendation but at this point it will be up to you to determine how much power your wind machine can produce.
