Does anyone know anything about these new V2 servos that are coming out?
I meant more tangible information…
Like what does “high resolution” mean for a RC servo, are they going to have feedback, are they more repeatable, etc.
I guess the question is, because they all appear to be at least $30 more then their V1 counterparts, are the upgrapdes worth it?
I’m surprised to see that they don’t have the heat sink case.
I yanked this from a Hitec announcement PDF. I was not willing to retype it to get rid of the all caps. It’s an early release, so I don’t know about the replaces the 5xxx series comment. I will inquire with Hitec as to any specifics concerning resolution, etc.
THE NEW HS-7XXX SERIES IS REPLACING THE HS-5XXX SERIES. THE ADVANTAGES ARE NEW PROGRAMMABLE FUNCTIONS (OVERLOAD PROTECTION SETTING AND PROTECTION SETTING AND RESOLUTION MODE SETTING). PLEASE NOTE THAT THE NEW HFP-20 SERVO PROGRAMMER IS REQUIRED TO ACTIVATE THE NEW PROGRAMMABLE FUNCTIONS OF THE HS-7XXX SERIES.
The image I have shows the 7955 does have the heatsink.
When are these going to be released (here also)? I heard there more expensive then the 5xxx series also.
I’m unsure if we will jump on them. The extra money is hard to justify for me just as it is for the customer. I need to find out about the replaces 5xxx thing…
