Hitec servo brackets

I see LM is offering three types of servo brackets for use with the HSR-5980SG and HSR-5990TG digital servos:

Can we get some idea of where each type of bracket should be used?

And why are they so expensive? Roughly $30 for the first two types, and $15 for the third. I see they’re Hitec parts, not LM parts, but jeez!
