Hexaped mounting question

i have a real quick q? (kinda off topic but i dont know where else to ask, really new to this) is it possible to mount a robotic arm to the top of a hexaped?, if so how, if not is it possible to mount anything on one, if so like what?

i would really appreciate any feed back

The real question is how much extra weight can the hexapod you have in mind carry. I’d say that hexipods probably do not make good platforms for carrying extra weight.

If you’re building this bot.

And you’re using upgraded servos, (not 475’s) you can add an arm using this option.

You can add any of these arms. Note the second group of four arms are the arms without electronics.

You can connect an arm to any of the round hexapods as well, but it’s not as easy to use the arm with the legs so close.

thanks alot this really helped.

Granted, it would be a close fit… but can the Hex sit down (ie. be ‘bottomed out’) so the Hex doesn’t strain the servos trying to support the extra weight, as well as be a bit more stable by using the legs as outriggers?
