Help with selecting a motor!

hi guys! im new to the forum and to the robotics.

im looking for a motor that can rotate at a speed of 1 rev every 30 secs capable of moving 0.700 kg.

im doing a gear teeth inspection fixture, the motor will have a collet in the shaft to hold a 47 teeth small gear with a internal diameter of 22.18 mm, so when the collet holds the gear a inductive sensor will activate the motor to spin at 1 rev every 30 secs giving the inspector time to look at all the 47 teeth looking for imperfections, a usb camera pointed to the gear teeth will show the image magnificated big enough to avoid passing imperfections.

so can you recomend me a motor to do the job.

thanks!

If the gear is centered, then the only torque required by the motor will be to overcome friction and inertia. You might start with a low RPM gear motor (like RB-Cyt-35) and further reduce the speed using a motor controller. If you can get an idea of the torque you need to move the gear, it would help you better find the appropriate motor.
