Hi ,
I bought a RC F103 Helicopter(This) and the battery they put in it is a Lithium Polymer Battery 180mAh 3.7V
I cant really find the weight of it , but i was wondering is it possible to remplace this battery with a
Lithium Polymer Battery Cell - 3.7V 1000mAh (This)
I see , well the thing is I am looking to upgrade the mAh # not decrease it . You see i was looking for a battery that would increase my flight time while being not too heavy for the helicopter to lift.
The 1000mAh battery is likely 5 to 6 times the weight of the 180mAh battery included with the heli and as such it is doubtful it would take off at all. You can certainly use a 3.7V LiPo, but the weight (and corresponding Ah capacity) needs to suit the aircraft. We have added RB-Spa-672 (not yet live) which is a 3.7V 110mAh battery ($7 retail). If you would like a quote (since it is not yet on the website), please contact via the RobotShop Support Center and include the product code, your full name and complete address.
If this is the case - use the current battery and incrementally add payload to see just how much additional weight you can carry. Once you have found this out, weigh the battery which comes standard to get an idea of total max payload it can carry. We can then help you find the battery that maximizes this weight. Note that even with a higher capacity, the heli is lifting additional weight and would be consuming more current.
