Ok so I'm making my first robot. I wanted the cheapest one out there so I'm trying a similar project to Fritsl's Little 8 project.
Anyways, now all my parts have come in, and I'm almost done building it but I wanted to try the program editor to see if it worked all right, so i hooked up my motor board to some power, to some motors and hooked it up to my pc. See the thing has a switch thing that you can change from "prog" to "run" so the board has a run mode and a program mode (I'm sure people who've used it know what I'm talking about)
Now I've only been testing turning the motors on forwad and reverse, continuous loop. My problem is that whenever I hit F5 the motors will start spinning then stop (which its supposed to do... right?) then when I unhook the thing from my computer and switch it to "run" mode it dosen't do anything. I've tried testing it on run, program unplugged from my computer it seems nothing happens... it actually worked once... the first time, but then I tried switching it from run to program without unhooking the power and disconecting it from my computer and it dosen't seem to work now.
Am I missing something? and is there a special procedure for testing your robot I don't know about? Thanks in advance.
