our robotics club is building a robot using a motorized wheel chair as its base the motors are E670 RH 24 VDC motors with a 50 amp in line fuse we are looking for a motor controller and im not sure what the operating current is any suggestions? second what type of micro controller should i use keep in mind we are starting with a r/c control first then autonomous later. thank you in advance
It’s really best to have an idea of the continuous current consumed by the motors so as not to select one which is underpowered, or spend more than you need to on one which is over-powered.
If the fuse is 50A, it’s safe to assume that the maximum current is <50A. Can you measure the current in operation?
