Help with Lin Engineering stepper motor

Hi, I have two Lin Engineering stepper motors and would like to find an appropriate motor controller.
Here is the information on the motors:

5718M-17P-01 2.8A 081106

It looks like this motor is not made any more and I could not find a data sheet. I did ask Lin Engineering for information but never got a reply.
Any help would be appreciated.

Hello @Wayne81ca and welcome to the RobotShop community!

I searched online for that stepper and as you said, couldn’t find the datasheet for that exact model. However, on Lin Engineering’s website, they have the currently available models of the 5718 Series, these are all bipolar Nema 23 steppers, and the one you mentioned has a 2.8A current rating. So just look for a bipolar stepper motor driver that can supply 2.8A, for example:

But you can find more options in the Stepper Motor Controllers section of the store.

@geraldinebc15 Thanks! thats great information.
FYI -What I’m doing is reworking an old Whitebox PCBOT I got while doing some work for them back in about 2007.
