I bought a cheap hexapod off of ebay and I can’t get the board to work with the phoenix code. Was just wondering what board do I need to buy to run the code and a ps2 style controller that will work with it?
@metroid87 The LDX-218 servo seems to be normal RC, which means you’d only be able to consider the RC version of the Phoenix code. However the Phoenix code uses the SSC-32 / 32U communication protocol. In order for the servo controller to understand this protocol, specific firmware needs to be uploaded to its microcontroller. There’s almost no information about the Robo-Soul CR-6 to think that it has that firmware, so it’s unlikely that the Phoenix code will be directly compatible with that board. The work-around would be to opt for the Lynxmotion SSC-32U servo controller, a Lynxmotion BotBoarduino and the PS2:
This way you can reuse the frame and servos. From their description, a dedicated servo controller is not even included.
