I need a small DC motor that can spin a plastic sword weighing 2 ounces fast enough to make a juice box fall down with an effective hit.
The motor must be able to do this with a 180 degree rotation.
I am looking to find out how much torque, rpm and voltage the motor would have to be.
Please be as detailed as possible as I am not an expert with robots, thank you everyone for your answers.
Since you know the concept of torque, it’s something you will need to calculate based on experimentation. You might try a servo motor, though be careful about the impact damaging the motor. You may want to attach a spring system so that when the sword hits the juice box the motor can keep rotating a bit. We honestly have no data to provide to tell you how much force is required to hit a juice box from a table.
