Hi, I need help selecting a receiver and controller for battlebots I making using 12v car window motors. Most of the remote controllers I see are for 4v. I need something that will hold 12v and since I am new on this I would appreciate any links for what can work. This is for a class I am teaching where we are building battlebots using upcycled materials.

Hi there,
Welcome on the forum.
Here is a good controller to start: https://www.robotshop.com/en/radiolink-t8fb-24ghz-8ch-transmitter-r8eh-8ch-receiver.html?product-code=RB-Rlk-08
Note that the remote will work on 4.8V - 18V.
The Receiver operating voltage is 4.6 - 10V.
It is important to keep in mind that when designing a robot, your main source may need to be distributed to many section operating on different voltage.
This is why it is common in robotic to have a power distribution board to manage the different voltage, this, using voltage regulator, step-down or step-up in some cases.
Hope this make it clearer.
You can find a list of pretty good RC remote controller: https://www.robotshop.com/en/wireless-rc-pwm-servo-controllers.html
