HELP Please... Has Anyone Hacked a Vincross HEXA Avoiding the App?

I have 4 Vincross HEXA robots (3 bought used and I repaired them).

The frustrating aspect of HEXA ownership is that they only function via the Vincross HEXA App and there must be a link established with the Vincross Servers in order to operate.

Apparently, Vincross is having financial issues and their Server reliability is spotty at best.

I would like to have control of these robots without the App being required.

Has anyone hacked a HEXA or can give me some advice?

Thank you for any assistance or input.

Bill

Hi cbenson,

I apologize for the delayed response. I do think that it is of value to leave this string up for these reasons:

  1. Vincross has left a failsafe control option in place which allows for DIrect Link Mode (found in the manual statsting on page 24) to control HEXA as long as you have the App.
  2. The App can still be found (it’s on Github) for those who need it).
  3. As long as the owner has activated their HEXA prior to the Vinbcross shutdown, Direct Link Mode should work. It still does for me as of today.

However, if a owner has a HEXA which has never been activated or ownership has not been transfered to a new owner (no longer an option due to Vincross shutting down) then the HEXA is relagated to developer only use.
